The Amatori Podistica Terni, is organizing the II edition of the Maratona di San Valentino.The race, inserted in the FIDAL (Italian Athletics Federation) calendars, Febraury 19th 2012, with the start at 10:00am at Ferentillo.
(shuttle bus from Terni to Ferentillo at 7.50 o'clock, depart point: camposcuola, train station,)

TERMS OF REGISTRATION FOR ATHLETES NON RESIDING IN ITALY

Failure to provide your membership card or health form (ENG) (the health form must be filled in and authenticated by a doctor, i.e. it must contain the Medical Practitioner's stamp) will result in exclusion from the race.
Self certification is not valid for participation.

Non Italian-resident athletes must be 18 or older on the race day. In order to register for the race, these athletes must provide the following documents:

a) Athletes members of foreign Athletics' Associations affiliated with either IAAF must provide a copy of their membership card (valid at least until the race day complying with rules and regulations on road running enforced in the athlete's country of residence) upon registration.
b) In compliance with the Italian law for safety in sports, athletes who are not members of any of the abovementioned associations must send, upon registration, the health form. The form must be filled in, stamped and signed by a doctor according to legislation enforced in your country

TERMS OF REGISTRATION FOR ATHLETES RESIDING IN ITALY

Registration of athletes supplying only a certificate for professional sports signed by their physician is not allowed.

According to FIDAL regulations on organization of sports' events, all athletes over the age of 20 and with permanent residence in Italy are allowed to run the race under the following conditions:

a) Athletes registered in associations affiliated with FIDAL.If registration is not signed by the Chairman of the association bearing personal responsibility, the athlete must supply a copy of the renewal registration in FIDAL for 2012. If registration takes place before renewal of membership, the athlete shall in any case send a copy of FIDAL 2012 renewal or a substitute declaration, written on their Association's letterhead and signed by the Association's Chairman as soon as possible.

b) Italian-resident athletes who are not holders of a membership card supplying a professional sports certificate signed by their physician for athletics or running- These athletes can register under the following conditions:

1. Daily FIDAL membership card, valid only for participation in Maratona di San Valentino 2012, costing € 7,00 (the cost includes a contribution of € 2,00 for the FIDAL Regional Committee and a € 3,00 contribution for compulsory insurance). Athletes having chosen this option shall: download the "cartellino di autorizzazione alla partecipazione alle gare su strada per i non tesserati" on the website www.fidal.it, fill the form and send it back with the professional sports certificate signed by their physician(athletics and running) and a copy of the € 5,00 payment receipt (This payment must be made together with payment of the registration fee. It is compulsory to send all documents (both parts of FIDAL form, payment recipt and physician's certificate) at the same time.

Participants must personally pick up bib number and race packet at the Marathon Village on 18th february 2012.

The Pasta Party will be held on saturday 18 at the Marathon Village.

Bus transfer from Terni to Ferentillo at 08:00 o'clock, also after marathon. Bus point start from parking Prati Street (CAMPOSCUOLA), in Terni, and from train station.

-Prize to the first 25 couples classified marathon, recorded in pairs, male and female, considering the sum of the real time of each.
-Prizes in kind for company-'with a minimum of 10 extra-regional members, 15 regional, 42-21km.

The awards are to be considered before the quota reserved for Italian athletes as FIDAL Regulation.

PACE MAKERS
The Organization will provide a team of qualified race assistants who will run the marathon at a constant pace in order to cut the finish line in:

LEFT LUGGAGE SERVICE
You may take advantage of the left luggage service. Instructions will be provided together with the bib.

TIMING CHIP
The timing service will be supplied by "Dreamrunners". You will find the instructions for the timing chip attached to the bib. The timing chip must not be returned upon the finish.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Medical assistance will be guaranteed all along the racecourse.

MAXIMUM TIME
The maximum time to finish the Marathon is 6 hours.

AFTER THE MARATHON
Athletes crossing the finish line will be awarded the official medal. Rankings and participation diplomas will be downloadable in the days immediately after the race.

IMAGE RIGHTS
As a registered participant each athlete authorizes the organization, together with the legal subjects with whom the organization has professional and trade relations concerning and related to filming/taking photographs of the event, to use fixed or moving images taken of him/her and displayed during the run free of charge. Authorization is unlimited and may be used the world throughout or included in mediums, such as promotional and/or advertising materials, publications and videos -as current laws permit-, and includes eventual extensions to the foreseen timeframe.

COMPLAINTS
Complaints must be presented by February 24th 2012, by paying a tax of € 50.00 (refunded if the complaint is found to be justified).

MISCELLANEOUS
For any unforeseen matters not mentioned in the existing regulations, please refer to the specific rules and current laws. Race judges may disqualify athletes not having passed through the regular checkpoints set up along the racecourse. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to vary any clause stipulated in the current Rules and Regulations at any time, due to force majeure.
